NT Thunder Football Club (NTFC) has been informed by senior-listed player, Benjamin Taylor that he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.063 per cent after being stopped for a random breath test in Jingili on Sunday morning.

Taylor has been issued with a notice to appear in the Darwin Local Court on Monday 19 August.

The club’s internal process will now come into effect and the NTFC Disciplinary Committee will meet to discuss the matter. A recommendation from the Committee in regard to Taylor and the club will then be put forward to the AFLNT Executive for endorsement.

The club/AFLNT will make no further comment at this stage and will advise of the disciplinary outcomes once signed off by the AFLNT Executive.
