NT Thunder has added another first-timer to its list, signing Palmerston youngster Tom Davies up for season 2017.

The 21-year-old has played all 14 Premier League games for Palmerston in what has been an impressive NTFL debut.

Before relocating to the Top End, Davies had played for the Shepparton Swans Football Club in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley Football League in 2016 and 2015.

He also enjoyed a previous stint in the Kyabram District Football Netball League as a senior player for Lancaster Football Club.

NT Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges described Davies as a good size defender, with the ability to read the ball well, while in flight, and take an intercept mark.

“Tom’s consistent form at NTFL level stood out to us and made him a desirable player to add to our list.

“He has been a regular attendee at training nights and is showing the attitude we expect from NT Thunder players,” Hodges said.
