In a move sure to delight Territory footy fans, NT Thunder has snared the extraordinarily talented and highly sought-after Ross ‘Rocco’ Tungatalum.

The 27-year-old has signed on for the 2018 NEAFL competition off the back of a superb season playing for Tiwi Bombers in the NTFL.

Often referred to as the ‘human highlights reel’, Tungatalum kicked 55 goals in 17 NEAFL games in 2011 to become a premiership player for the Club.

He also pulled on the famed ochre guernsey for two games and eight goals in 2014 and has built a wealth of football experience from time spent in the Territory, as well as country Victoria and the WAFL in Perth.

A forward who keeps opposition players on their toes, he has dished out more than a few footballing masterclasses.

Tungatalum’s natural ability, coupled with the numerous freakish acts he performs on the footy field has NT Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges extremely excited.

“Any time you get a premiership winning player back at the Club is a bonus, but a player of Rocco’s calibre is especially thrilling.

“He is one of the Territory’s most talented footballers and watching him with footy in hand is like watching a magician who plays tricks on your eyes. I very much look forward to having Ross in the team and know the rest of the boys will get a lift out of lining up beside him once more,” he said.
