In a mid-season boost NT Thunder has signed two quality players to the 2018 NEAFL list.

Tylah Saunders is a 28-year-old on baller/ruck rover who played with SANFL club Glenelg alongside former Thunder player, now West Coast Eagles star Willie Rioli. He has been playing with Angaston in the Barossa, Light and Gawler League in South Australia where he won the last two club best & fairest awards.

Saunders moved to Darwin in April for employment with AFL Northern Territory and has been training with the club since then.

24-year-old Patrick Boles has also signed and is a former teammate of Thunder’s Joe Anderson, playing together previously for the North Adelaide Roosters in the SANFL.

Boles is a hardworking and fast utility/inside mid who can also play half back.

Head Coach Andrew Hodges said the pair would add to the midfield depth and also have the ability to play as inside contested mids or be outside running players.

“Both players have really bought in to the program, been training hard and their experience and work ethic will be invaluable to our young squad,” he said.
