Matthew Rosier will keep the Central Australian flavour alive and well at NT Thunder after agreeing to play on for his eighth season.

A rugged and unwavering midfielder, Rosier has been one of the NEAFL competition’s hardest on-ballers, with his determination making up for what he may lack in stature.

Having reached his milestone 100th game in Round 1 of the 2016 season, Rosier went on to play 18 games for the year and finished equal runner-up in the NT Thunder Club Champion count.

He was also recognised as NT Thunder’s most courageous player last season and is well known for giving his all at any contest.

Alice Springs born and bred, Rosier made the move to Darwin a couple of years ago and has been a prolific player for Southern Districts in the NTFL.

Head coach Andrew Hodges said Rosier’s signing was very welcome.

“It’s great to have a fellow Centralian and quality player back on the list.

“Rosie’s leadership qualities and ability to win contested football have been a highlight of his career to date and I look forward to it continuing in 2017,” Hodges said.
