Player Bio

On the comeback tour and fresh off winning his second Nichols Medal, Cameron Ilett returned to NT Thunder for his tenth season after announcing his retirement from the Club at the end of the 2017 season. Proving he’s still got it in him, Ilett was named in the 2018 NEAFL Team of the year and at club level was 2018 Ilett Medal runner-up. He had an exceptional 2017 season with Thunder in which he won the Player’s Player award and his sixth Club Champion (aptly renamed the Ilett Medal) and was the 2017 NEAFL MVP runner up. Ilett was part of the inaugural Thunder team in 2009 and played 189 games in ten consecutive seasons. He has also been awarded almost every accolade available to a NEAFL player, including the NEAFL’s Grogan Medal in 2011.
