A familiar name in the Territory, Domonic “Junior” Grant is in-line to make his NT Thunder senior debut after agreeing to play for the Club this year.

A member of the 2017 squad, Grant represented the Northern Territory in the Under 18s National Championships last March and April but sustained an injury that saw him sidelined by a fractured left foot and subsequent recovery from an operation for the remainder of the year.

A Wanderers player from age 11, Grant has accumulated 10 NTFL Premier League games to-date and has been in good form for the Eagles since returning to their line-up in Round 13.

The 19-year-old is a versatile forward and outside mid who Head Coach Andrew Hodges said has shown great resilience through his setbacks.

“Junior has a sound ability and shows a tenacious hunger at every contest. He’s super clean with his hands which gives him the ability to put a teammate into space.

“He hasn’t had a great deal of luck but has remained focused and we’re looking forward to seeing his progression over the season,” he said.
