A fourth Tiwi Bombers player has signed to play with NT Thunder this year, with 27-year-old Patrick Heenan marking another exciting addition to the Club.

Heenan debuted for Thunder in its inaugural year in 2009 and will be looking to add to the 44 games he has so far amassed in seasons 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

A well-known name in Darwin’s NTFL, he has played all 17 Premier League games for Tiwi Bombers this season and has 82 club games to his name but has also represented Palmerston and Waratah throughout his Territory career.

Another in-form player in this year’s Top End competition, NT Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges said Heenan has an uncanny ability to make an immediate impact when he takes to the field.

“Patty knows what it’s like to play at the level required for NEAFL footy and I’m delighted to have him back in a Territory jumper.

“Though he has predominantly played as an outside mid for the Bombers this season he is a big game player who can take any position reliably and with confidence,” he said.
