Wanderers’ big man Hugo Drogemuller will line up for NT Thunder in the 2017 NEAFL season after deciding to stay in Darwin post the 2016/17 TIO NTFL season.

The 24-year-old from South Australia has been in great form for the Eagles, playing 12 games of consistent Premier League footy.

In 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2016, Drogemuller played senior A Grade footy with Moonta in the Yorke Peninsula Football League, amassing 56 games and 33 goals.
Though most easily recognised for his height, standing at 197centimetres, he has also been impressive with his coverage and aerial work around the ground.

NT Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges said Drogemuller’s style of play caught his attention.

“Hugo’s shown good form in the NTFL this season. He predominantly plays as a key defender but has the ability to go through the ruck.

“He is an important addition to the squad, adding some needed height and versatility and we welcome him to the Club,” Hodges said.
