NT Thunder is thrilled to announce the double signing of Dion and Jack Munkara to the NT Thunder squad for season 2018.

At 26-years-old, Dion played eight games with NT Thunder in 2010 and has gone on to play 115 NTFL Premier League games with Waratah, and now the Tiwi Bombers in the NTFL.

A clever outside mid, Dion is well known for his elite foot skills and lightning speed.

Younger brother Jack has played 32 games for the Tiwi Bombers and at only 21-years-old has established himself as a consistent performer in the Premier League side.

Quick and agile with a light frame, he loves attacking the contest and off-field is described as having a big heart.

NT Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges said attracting young Territory football talent of such high quality to the Club made him proud.

“This is massive for our footy club, to have both Munkara brothers in a Thunder jumper for 2018.

“Both boys are the in-form players of the NTFL, and the Tiwi magic they will both bring to Thunder this year is important to the entertaining Territory brand of footy we want to play.

“Dion is arguably the best player in the NTFL at the minute, and Jack has an uncanny ability to find the goals and will bring an exciting brand of Territory footy to our team,” he said.
