Ahead of the 2017 NEAFL season, NT Thunder has secured another young talent with 20-year-old Davin Ferreira committing to the Club.

The Wanderers player, who has not been listed on the Thunder senior list before, has 33 NTFL Premier League games to his name, including the 2014/15 Premiership.

Identified by those in the know as a real talent, Ferreira joined Daniel Rioli as NT representatives at the 2015 NAB AFL Draft Combine.

The past couple of years he attended boarding school in Adelaide and enjoyed a stint with SANFL club Norwood, playing 14 senior and 12 reserves games across the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Being Darwin born and bred has led him home, which greatly pleases NT Thunder Head Coach, Andrew Hodges.

“I am excited that Davin has decided to stay in Darwin this year and sign with the Club.

“He can play as an inside mid but can go forward and impact the scoreboard as well,” Hodges said.
