NT Thunder’s tall stocks continue to rise with Scott McLeod the tenth player to sign ahead of the 2018 NEAFL season.

And with more announcements expected in the coming days, including a handful of players who committed to two-year deals in 2016, the NT Thunder squad is starting to take shape.

McLeod debuted for the Club in Round 8 2017 against Southport and went on to play five games for Thunder in his first year.
Recognised for his positive attitude and commitment to training, McLeod was awarded the NT Thunder 2017 Clubman of the Year.

Head Coach Andrew Hodges said McLeod’s background with the Australian Army National Team meant he approached his Thunder commitments with discipline and determination.

“Macca was a great backup ruckman for us last season and his good form for Nightcliff in this season’s NTFL should have him pushing for a regular spot when the NEAFL season starts.

“He is a natural fit in defence and not too many players can match him size-wise, but I was just as impressed with his work ethic and the way he encouraged the rest of the boys whether he was playing or not. They’re the qualities we love to have involved at Thunder,” Hodges said.

In our tenth year, you can also be 10 out of 10 by getting your 2018 NT Thunder membership. Early bird specials end next Tuesday!
