NT Thunder will be boosted by the return of workhorse Jack Shannahan, hardened utility Michael Coombes and big man Tony Olango when it faces the Gold Coast Suns in Darwin on Saturday night.
Thunder players Justin Beugelaar, Ben Rioli, Adam Sambono, Daniel Weetra have all been named in the initial 2017 NEAFL representative squad.
This week could be the ideal round for Thunder to bounce back with a win against the Suns as their AFL side travels with an extended list to play Port Adelaide in China for the first time.

NT Thunder is pleased to welcome back experienced on-baller Richard Tambling to the side to take on the Canberra Demons on Saturday night.
Only percentage separates us and the Demons on the ladder, we are both sitting two wins and two losses after Round 5.
More controlled and focused decision-making will be a major aim for NT Thunder when it hosts Canberra in Round 6 of the NEAFL at Darwin’s TIO Stadium on Saturday night.
