Sam Talbot will again lace up his boots for the 2017 NEAFL season, marking his third year with NT Thunder.

Talbot, who plays locally for the Palmerston Magpies, is known for his clubman attitude and hard work on and off the footy field.

Traditionally a defender for Thunder, he is also recognised as a utility who can play on the ball.

Talbot has played a total of 31 games for the Territory side, including the 2015 grand final and has managed 15 goals in the past two seasons.

NT Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges said he is keen to have Talbot on board for another year and is eager to see what he can bring to the team in 2017.

“Sam is an important outside running option and adds poise to our midfield group.

“He played a great role down back for us last year and is capable of playing all around the ground, which adds depth to the side,” Hodges said.

In 2017 Talbot will be sponsored by McDonald’s.
