Joe Anderson, Tylah Saunders, Sam Talbot and Chris Williams are the next group of talented footballers to add their names to the 2019 NT Thunder NEAFL list following the appointment of Head Coach, Darren Reeves.

Anderson, Saunders and Williams all pulled on the Thunder jumper for the first time in 2018, while Talbot is a 2015 premiership player.

Known as ‘Mr Versatile’ the 29-year-old Palmerston player can play any position on the field and play either an attacking or defensive-type role.

And since the departure of Darren ‘Boof’ Ewing, he has also risen the ranks to become NT Thunder’s favourite plumber.

Anderson, who has experience playing at the elite level, can hold down a key position down back or have a run through the midfield.

One of the most consistent performers in the team he is only hampered by an ongoing injury that he tries to manage.

Williams, one of Anderson’s Darwin Buffaloes teammates, was also a solid performer who didn’t miss a game in 2018.

Known for putting the Club and his fellow players ahead of himself he quickly became an active contributor both on and off the field.

Saunders, was the last of the quartet to play when he joined the Club midseason, and he finished with seven games to his name.

He showed signs that he could add value to the midfield group with his ability to play as an inside mid but also slot into defence if required.

Reeves, who has met all four players said he was encouraged by their commitment.

“All these boys bring a wealth of experience and professionalism and will play important roles in everything we do from this point onwards.

“I look forward to seeing them being part of driving our standards and values every day and leading the way, striving to constantly improve in every moment we are presented,” he said.
