Matthew Bricknell, Jake Roe Duggan and Scott McLeod will all play for Thunder in the upcoming NEAFL season.

McLeod joins Thunder for the first time and will bring experience and depth to the current senior list.

McLeod, who is currently part of the Australian Army National Team, is a versatile defender that can also play in the ruck.

He has played for several clubs across Australia due to moving commitments with the Army including Canberra, Queensland and most recently in the NTFL for Palmerston Football Club.

Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges believes that McLeod will be an important cog in Thunder’s current list structure.

“Scott McLeod is a great height and build and will add depth to our tall stocks this season,” Hodges said.

Bricknell is a member of the AFLNT U18 State Academy and has represented the NT at TAC Cup and National level.

The young utility forward won the U18 leading goalkicker award for Nightcliff in the NTFL 2014/15 season with a whopping 80 goals.

Bricknell was also the Round 17 NT News Rising Star nominee after an impressive four-goal performance.

“Matt is an exciting junior and Territory footballer that can play at either end of the ground,” Hodges said.

Roe Duggan will look to add to his career games tally as he returns to Thunder after a two-year absence.

The Southern Districts player has an uncanny goal sense with 33 goals from 43 games as a midfielder.

“Jakey is an inside midfielder that has the ability to win contested ball but also impact the scoreboard up forward.

“We are glad to have Jake back in Thunder colours for the upcoming season,” Hodges said.
