Another strong signing for NT Thunder comes today with 23-year-old Braedon McLean gearing up to play in season 2018.

With 28 Thunder games to his name, McLean was a dependable figure in last season’s team and deservedly finished fifth in the Club Champion.

An inside mid who also played stints on the wing and at halfback, McLean provided many a highlight for Thunder fans and showed the style of football synonymous with the family name and number 19 jumper.

NT Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges said McLean was a vital cog in the Thunder team and he was happy to have him commit to the season ahead.

“Braedon is a class player who has a team-first mentality, and he can be relied on to go hard at contests and have his teammates’ backs.

“He is one of our younger brigade, but he has risen through the ranks of our Academy programs and has built experience alongside his skill. He is a great player to coach, and I look forward to having him back next season.”
