NT Thunder is pleased to have Tennant Creek youngster, Isiah Farrell-Nelson back for his second year at the Club.

Debuting in Round 20 of the 2016 NEAFL season, Farrell-Nelson added immediate flair and became a genuine forward option for his teammates in the two games he played at the end of last year.

The 18-year-old recently completed his year 12 studies and has been travelling from the Barkly region to play for Nightcliff in the NTFL.

He was awarded the NT News Rising Star nomination for Nightcliff’s Round 14 win over Southern Districts and has played six Premier League games and kicked 13 goals so far this NTFL season.

Farrell-Nelson is the third youngster Thunder has signed to its list from Tennant Creek, with Liam Holt-Fitz and Matthew Green announced a couple of weeks ago.

Farrell-Nelson has won the best and fairest for the Barkly Australian Football League on two occasions and was only 17-years-old when he captained his local club, Janapurlalki Eagles.

NT Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges said, “It’s fantastic to have Isiah recommitted for 2017.

“His uncanny goal sense and raw evasive talents will certainly add an exciting dimension to the squad.”
