Collihole signs for Thunder

NT Thunder is excited to announce 25-year-old Lachlan Collihole has signed with the Club for 2017.

A versatile forward line player, this will be his first season in the Territory colours.

The former country Victorian has played 40 games for the Waratah Football Club in the NTFL since making his debut for the club in 2011 and kicking six goals in his first outing.

In 2015 he won Waratah’s Leading Goal Kicker Award.

NT Thunder Head Coach, Andrew Hodges likened Collihole to a former NT Thunder star.

“Thunder fans will be excited to know he is ‘Chris Dunne-like’,” Hodges said, referring to the 2015 Andrew Ireland Best on Ground award winner in the NEAFL grand final.

The Club regarded Dunne as the type of player who had an uncanny ability to sneak forward and score important goals.

“Locky adds another dimension to our team as a hard working forward with the capacity to get up the ground and provide options but also work back deep to enable genuine scoring opportunities.

“He has been training hard at Thunder pre-season, and we look forward to unleashing his potential in season 2017,” Hodges said.
