Ben Rioli is in line to celebrate his 100th NT Thunder game during the Club’s historic tenth season after agreeing to play in 2018.

Since debuting in Round 1 of the 2012 NEAFL season, Rioli quickly became a fan favourite and took no time at all to establish himself as a consistent performer and reliable team member.

A running half-back with his trademark flare, the four-time NTFL premiership player for St Mary’s has 94 NT Thunder appearances to his name.

NT Thunder Head Coach Andrew Hodges said at only 24-years of age, Rioli is one of the most experienced players in the team.

“Benny is one of those players that you can count on. He gives his best week in and week out, and it’s clear to see that other players get a lift when he lines up beside them.

“He is a friendly face around the Club and is a big contributor to the positive culture we have in place,” he said.

In good news for Hodges, he can keep driving the Thunder Truck with Rioli stuck on it, as Hidden Valley Ford will continue as his player sponsor in 2018.
